Terri Shannon

Director

Founder and Creative Director Terri Shannon is the creative force behind Bloom Interior Design. Renowned for her down-to-earth approach, Terri transforms spaces into authentic reflections of her clients’ personalities. With over 20 years of experience in residential and commercial interior design, Terri’s journey began at RMIT, where she studied Interior Design in 1995. Since then, Terri has honed her keen eye for detail and passion for design, allowing her to create spaces that resonate with warmth and character. At Bloom, she leads every project with a hands-on approach, ensuring a seamless transition from initial concepts to stunning final touches. Under Terri’s guidance, Bloom has established itself as a trusted name in Melbourne’s design scene, delivering innovative solutions that celebrate the uniqueness of each project. Nina Rowlands

Associate / Senior Interior Designer

As Associate & Senior Interior Designer, Nina is involved in overseeing all phases of the design process, from initial concept through to completion. Melbourne born & bred, Nina’s passion is residential design & creating beautiful, timeless interior spaces that also function and reflect her client’s needs and lifestyle. Nina has an eye for detail like none other. Her consideration & understanding of space, scale & proportion shine through in her interior & joinery designs.

Belinda Tuck

Senior Interior Decorator

Belinda’s extensive career in interior design and decoration has refined her skills in soft furnishings, artwork procurement and furniture selection. Belinda brings her love of fabrics, impeccable taste and attention to detail to each project. With an appreciation of both classic and modern styles, Belinda is brilliant at bringing a concept together that compliments any design.

Vanessa Dudderidge

INTERIOR DESIGNER

Vanessa is a versatile interior designer who brings a blend of creativity and practicality into her projects. Since graduating from Collarts in 2020 with a Bachelor of Interior Design & Decoration, Vanessa has focused on developing her skills in residential design & decoration, to create cohesive spaces from joinery design and finishes selections through to soft furnishings.

Margaret Whiting

STUDIO MANAGER

Margaret has a love for beautiful things, with a strong sense of personal style. This has translated into a passion for interior design and decoration. Margaret is a key part of our team, ensuring the studio is always running smoothly and providing reliable support for the design team and our clients.

Tyler Major

Junior Interior Designer

Tyler is a creative individual that loves all aspects of design. Tyler has developed his skills in residential design with a focus and passion for furniture design and fabrics. With a Bachelor of Interior Design, Tyler loves creating spaces that are not only practical and based on fundamental design planning but also to create spaces that are sophisticated and convey a contemporary – classical feel. He loves working with his clients to create spaces that are unique and designed for them.

Our Process

Our design process is a set of 5 stages that have been carefully developed and refined to ensure you understand the steps to bringing your project to life. We work closely with you, our suppliers, and tradespeople to bring each project together smoothly and successfully.

30-Minute Discovery Call

Our first step is to connect with you via phone to get a better understanding of your project requirements and to get to know each other.

Initial Consultation & Workshop

The next stage is where we meet on-site or at our studio to explore your inspiration and vision for the project. We will ask you questions to get a better sense of your style, begin gathering initial ideas, and conduct a site measure.

Concept Direction

In the concept stage, we transform the initial ideas into preliminary designs. This phase is fun, dynamic, and creative, where you will get to touch & play with sampling. We work closely with you to obtain feedback and refine the design.

Design Development & Tender

Once you’ve approved the concept and preliminary designs, we move into highly detailed design and scheduling documentation. These documents are then taken to tender, where we coordinate with suppliers & and tradespeople to create an actionable design plan.

Procurement, Execution & Installation

Our final stage is where we get to see all of the hard work come to fruition. We assist with project administration, conduct site visits, and liaise with tradespeople and suppliers until project completion. At this stage, we also undertake procurement of all furniture, lighting, & window furnishings, and assist with installation. Finally, we all get to celebrate and you can enjoy your beautiful new space.
